I had a more or less clear night today so tested how to take photos of the starry night. There is a lot of light pollution in Kampala so will not be able to get serious shots of the milky way for example in town. I should however be able to capture some interesting night shots anyway. As per instructions I found on internet it would be good starting on ISO 3200 and aperture of 2.8 which is the biggest i can do on my Canon 16-35mm L lens. After taking a few 35 second photos I was all the way down to ISO 50 to take this one. There is clearly some improvement I can do as seemingly the tripod is not stable enough to capture the closer areas sharp due to shaking.
